# Supplier Risk Management Survey 2023

Key findings and strategic insights from our supplier risk management survey

### Overview

Supplier risk management has traditionally enabled leading procurement teams to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply of goods, at the right time. However, only a small number of organisations are maximising its potential.

To find out why, and identify areas where existing practices are lacking, we conducted a survey on supplier risk management with procurement professionals. Here, we take a closer look at the key issues with organisations’ risk management, as well as the required foundations for building a successful supplier risk management strategy.

Amongst other take-aways, our survey identified the key five issues faced by organisations’ supplier risk management practices today:

- Lack of resources and awareness
- Highly limited risk coverage
- Lack of integrated and holistic visibility
- Limited access to specialist advice
- Low coordination and ineffective responses
